REPORT ON MEET WITH PARENTS OF 20AH FOR INTERNSHIPS

For the first time Parent – Teacher meet was held
online with the parents of 20AH batch to educate the parents and seek their
support and also inputs on the internships to be done by their wards. The 3
different internships were introduced by Dr P. Mary Anupama using a power point
presentation. The first internship was done and due to covid it was done recently the reports of which are
still pending. The parents were told that the students though were instructed
to send us during vacation they did not respond .
And the 2nd internship is on skill and it
can be any skill and the duration was for 180 hours. In this regards, parental
consent was required and No objection letter is to be given by parent and also
undertaking of responsibility for those who have searched their internships was
to be given by the parents. The various options were shows to the parents and
were educated about proposals through MoUs that we have. The 3rd
internship is for 6 months, which can be payed or free which were told to the
parents.
Many parents came up with doubts about- the 4 year
curriculum, need for internships, marks allotted, venue available, faculty
support, paid and unpaid modes availability,
Some parents have agreed to pay and get internships
for their wards which while some don’t want their wards to go anywhere. Online
internships were advised for such students.
The choice was kept open to both the modes and the
students have to get consent from the parents.
A feedback link was shared for the parents to express
their opinion.
