Introductory note By Dr Anupama
A
very good afternoon and a very warm welcome to the beloved and cherished Alumni
of St. Joseph’s college for women.We always take pride in our students and
their achievements.
What
ever the profession they may be in or whatever is their choice of living, we
are here to listen to you and learn more about you
As
you leave the college to conquer the world, we are left here watching you glow
high and radiate the knowledge and the life lessons you learnt in your life.
We
get alumni meet as the only opportunity to talk to you.
As we are here to go
virtual.
The aim of having Alumni meet every year during is to
interact with the Alumni, learn their progression and get some inputs about
their present situations. They can give feedback on the present curriculum and
even share their thoughts on latest trends in fields of the course that they
have studied. The feedback given will be discussed and maybe incorporated after
resolutions in academic meetings.
The agenda for the alumni meet was shared :
1. Recording alumni progression details
2. Motivating batches before AD to register in the Alumni
Association
3. To inform them that in December we will have a physical alumni meet,
most probably on second Saturday.
4. Identifying of any alumni willing to give internship or employment to
our students or willing to share expertise in their fields. To build a data
base of supportive alumni.
Dr Veerabrahmam sir welcomed the students and
requested them to share their inputs. Dr Mousami Shankar mam has appealed to
the students to make best use of these online gathering and join us .
Dr Mangaveni mam has shared the need to get enrolled
into Alumni association. She appealed the students to join the Alumni meet to
be held on 2nd Saturday of December.
Over 25 alumni from 3
years joined which is a low turnout. They were informed to pass the message to
their classmates to update student progression and cooperate with the
Organization.
