About Department

Established in 2008, the Department of Biochemistry offers B.Sc (BBC) program combination with Biochemistry, Biotechnology and chemistry. The curriculum of B.Sc. programs is designed covering basics to advanced aspects imparting hands on experience in the respective fields to cater the needs of Industry and research organizations.

The department has excellent Infrastructure facilities like well equipped spacious laboratories with state of the art equipment for an effective teaching learning process and research. The teaching-learning process is woven around project works, seminars, field work and Industrial visits apart from generic theoretical issues. The placement record has been Impressive with students joining reputed Pharma Industries, Diagnostic Laboratories and Institute of Life Sciences. A significant number of students are pursuing higher studies in advanced research Institutions in India.
