TCS Youth Employment Program Webinar on "Careers in Life Sciences & Healthcare Domain"

The Department of Biochemistry, St. Joseph's College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, actively participated in the online career guidance session titled "Careers in Life Sciences & Healthcare Domain", organized by the Youth Employment Program (YEP), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on 29 July, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM IST.

The webinar was delivered by Mr. Subhadeep Mukherjee, Business Client Partner, TCS, who shared valuable insights into the rapidly evolving life sciences and healthcare industry. The session highlighted emerging career opportunities, current industry trends, essential technical and professional skills, and the qualifications required to build a successful career in this sector. Participants also gained an understanding of the expectations of leading employers and the diverse career pathways available in the life sciences and healthcare domains.

A total of 15 students from the Second Year and Third Year B.Sc. Biochemistry Major enthusiastically represented the Department of Biochemistry. The students were accompanied and guided by the faculty members Dr. P. Mary Anupama and Dr. Mousami Shankar Addala, whose encouragement motivated the students to actively participate in the program.

The webinar proved to be highly informative and inspiring, equipping students with industry-oriented knowledge and helping them make informed career decisions while strengthening their preparedness for future employment opportunities in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.
