REPORT

The Department of Biochemistry actively participated in the National Science Day–2026 celebrations organized at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and P.G. Courses (A), Visakhapatnam. The event, themed “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat,” aimed to encourage scientific temperament, innovation, and awareness among students.

As per the brochure, several competitions were conducted, including Department-wise Model Exhibits, Poster Presentation, Quiz Competition, and JAM (Just A Minute). The Biochemistry students enthusiastically took part in these activities, showcasing their creativity, knowledge, and communication skills.

The participants from the department were Miss Anishma (Roll No. 25AM 711), Miss Rispa Grace (25AM 718), Miss Sana Kausar (25AM 720), and Miss Sri Harshini (25AM 721). They contributed actively across different events, presenting scientific ideas, engaging in quizzes, and expressing their perspectives effectively during JAM sessions.

The poster presentations and exhibits reflected strong conceptual understanding and highlighted the role of women in scientific advancement. The event provided an excellent platform for students to enhance their confidence, teamwork, and scientific outlook.

Overall, the participation of Biochemistry students was commendable and aligned well with the objective of promoting scientific awareness and empowering young minds towards innovation and nation-building.
