REPORT ON NATIONAL MILK DAY

National Milk Day is celebrated on 26th November every year to signify the importance and benefits of milk. Milk day is a special day that is observed to spread awareness among people about the importance and need for milk. National Milk Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, who is also known as the ‘Father of White Revolution“.

The day was chosen as the National Milk Day by the dairy majors of the country including the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the Indian Dairy Association (IDA), along with the milk federation of 22 states. The Indian Dairy Association took the initiative of celebrating National Milk Day for the first time in 2014.

The students of First BBC have participated in the event and prepared recipes using milk and list of recipes were presented to judges and winners were declared. The list of students and winners are given.

NATIONAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

 

Date – 12th November, 2022                                                                  Time- 4 to 5.30 PM

Biomuskteers club is organising an institutional virtual conference on cancer in regards to National Cancer  day (7th November)  and cancer awareness month (November).

 

 Date : 12th November, Saturday.

 Time : 4pm to 5pm.

 

Total number of presenters- Registered 28, presented 20

Two parallel sessions were conducted

1.     Cancer- Causes and treatment

Winners- Miss T. Shiprah Nissi and Miss G. Indu won first prize

               R. Meghana Won second prize

 

2.     Life style and Disease management

Winners- Hazira Tasneem (3rd BBC)  Mir- First prize

               Mohammad Roshana (3rd MStCs)- Second proze

 

Guest speaker-

Mr M Kesav, Psychology consultant was invited to talk about Sanjeevini Homibaba Institute that offers free cancer treatment for underprivileged. He spoke on How to cope up life if a person is cancer victim, Do’s and Dont’s when you are around cancer patients. He made all the participants take pledge to educate people on cancer and follow good life style to avoid cancer.
